Introduction
In a developing country like Sri Lanka it is obvious that under-privileged section of the community has been facing with so many problems which they cannot solve themselves by the reason of having no required financial strength in particular. In answering a few of them even in a small way, we have set up this organization for the purpose of helping them to relieve them of such burdens by making maximum views of local & international sources. Therefore, we believe that is a timely measure to launch several pro-people programs under “Dhiriyashakthi Foundation” established recently.

The Development of Education of Sons & Daughters of Sri Lanka
Some projects are undergoing now and several are expected to be launching for the development of education of sons & daughters in Sri Lanka. In this context, we have started a one year English course in 2007 providing English education for the school children without being charge.
For the purpose of improving the talents in the field of vocational training, the school children will be provided with computer education. This is going to be implemented all over the country on the strength of the assistance and co-operation of those who are willing to make their generous contributions. By the way, more systematic and sensitive measures are going to be taken with a view to develop pre-school education
Health & Sanitation
Under this topic number of projects will be implemented for the proper maintenance of heath and sanitation conditions while paying special attention in order to make sure whether the school children, pregnant women and the aged are be properly nourished and well looked after so that nutrient facilities could be provided to the needy. It is also suggested that eye-clinics and dental clinics will be conducted along with organizing blood donation campaigns with free of charge for those who are in need. We, as an organization are also concerned about maintaining a proper coordination between the doctors and the patients who are in need of physical organs of the body such as, eyes, kidneys, hearts, etc; and those who are willing to donate them. In this respect, it is hoped to provide an ambulance service to transport potations that are deprived of easy access to hospitals and nursing homes.
Development of Personality
We have identified that personality development is playing an integral part in society development. Therefore, we hope to make the people educated in the way of positive thinking by means of providing lectures and necessary instructions. In connection with this, it is hoped to distribute relevant printed documents among the people.
Preservation of Environment
For a decent existence of man preservation of environment is a very vital requirement. In this regard pragmatic actions will be taken to educate the people to protect natural environmental assets such as forests, jungles, water ways, rare animals and birds. Projects are intended to be launched to introduce new systems of drainage in to irradiate impurities and germs, which have adverse effects on the environment and its beauty. In keeping with their objectives, action will be taken to distribute of books, leaflets and magazines along with giving public lectures to keep the move alive.
Disaster Management
It is intended to create a system in organized way to face with sudden disaster or fatal accidents in the event of natural disasters like” Tsunami”. We are going to introduce smooth method of rebuilding of destroying and affected natural recourses and restoring human resources. In this respect, every possible assistance will be given in achieving success of due action taken by state mechanism.

1. Computer Course (Free of charge)
Technological development in the field of communication has become a great influence to link the whole world into one global village. The computer has achieved unique status as a multipurpose equipment to perform very many duties. If one doesn’t have computer literacy he will encounter a number of problems to make his activities successful.
Today it is essential to have computer literacy to get a viable employment opportunity for the youth. In Gampaha district there is a large number of unemployed youth having completed the school education. Diriyashakthi Foundation plans to select unemployed youth and to give them training in IT under the supervision of a qualified IT Instructor. This will benefit them to gain a respectable employment opportunity. It has been estimated approximately Rs. 400,00.00 has to be spent to make this programme a success.
2. Free Support Classes for Grade 5 Scholarship Examination
The main objective of the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination which is conducted by the Department of Examination in Sri Lanka is to find potential students and to give them a monthly allowance and popular school for them to have better educational facilities. This examination is conducted every year for grade 5 students. To achieve a good mark in the examination the parents of these children compete with each other taking their children to various tuition classes because the school education alone is not sufficient to gain a considerable mark in order to pass the examination. Among them there are people from families with a very poor income. As a result of this, the children who come from poor families suffer. The foundation plans to identify these children and give them a free education course to pass this examination successfully. The estimated cost is Rs.75,000.00

01. Free Ambulance Service
When considering the district population, Gampaha district comes second showing a population of nearly 2.2 million. Among them most families are low income groups and ‘Samurdhi’ receivers. In this area people lack of ambulance facilities which is a great need of society because the rates of accidents are very high.
The foundation plans to facilitate people of the district by providing an ambulance service in case of accidents to take the victims to hospitals at any time of the day. This will help to save a valuable life. Estimated cost is Rs. 5 Million.
02. Free Housing Project
In Sri Lanka almost all the districts consists of poor families. Among them there are people who don’t have a single piece of land. Some people who own a small land but no house to live in. Considering this pathetic situation the Foundation plans to identified 5 families and give them houses. Estimated cost for one house will be Rs. 500,000.00. The Foundation further plans to expand this project to other districts according to the funds available. The first stage to build 5 houses will cost Rs. 2.5 Million.
03. Free Spectacles Project
Nowadays people tend to have eye disorders in all districts of the country. The Foundation plans to select one out of 25 districts and to identified 100 people who are suffering from eye disorders and provide spectacles after a medical test. The estimated cost is Rs. 300, 000.00
Development of Personality
Seminars
Good guidance will help to develop personality. Due to that Diriyashakthi Foundation has decided to launch workshops & seminars to year 9 and above students based on positive thinking, “5’ S” etc. The Estimated cost is Rs. 500,000.00
Preservation of Environment
Waste Management Project
In this year we hope to start Waste Management Project with guidance of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources. It will directly benefited several unemployed people and create several jobs indirectly. Initial estimated cost Rs. 15,000.00
Disaster Management
Disaster Management Fund
Past experience reviled us the important of having separate fund that can be utilized in a crisis situation. So Diriyashakthi Foundation hopes to build Rs.1.5 Million worth of Disaster Management Fund.
